Cinemalaya is now accepting applications for two online scriptwriting events to be conducted by acclaimed-screenwriter Ricky Lee.
Through the Cinemalaya Institute Training Programs, the award-winning screenwriter will hold a 3-hour Scriptwriting Masterclass on April 14 which will focus on the fundamentals of storytelling for film. The masterclass will start at 02:00 PM (GMT Philippine Standard Time) and is open to all Filipinos residing locally and abroad.
Ricky Lee will also handle an Intensive Scriptwriting Workshop from May 26 to July 14, 2021. The Intensive Scriptwriting Workshop will guide the participants on the process of creating compelling scripts told in one’s unique voice. It will be consist of eight weekly sessions every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM (GMT Philippine Standard Time. These scriptwriting events are free of charge.
Aspiring participants will go through a selection process and only thirty (30) applicants will be accepted for the Intensive Scriptwriting Workshop. Applicants must submit a 1-2 page storyline and a writer’s intention for the material. Interested applicants may register for both screenwriting events.
