The biggest indie film festival in the country is set to sail globally.
Cinemalaya is a prestigious film competition held annually during August, which aims to showcase the hidden gems and exceptional flares of Philippine Independent Films. Each year, ten outstanding films from the breed of new filmmakers will compete for the highly coveted Balanghai Award.
Films such as John Denver Trending, Respeto and Pamilya Ordinaryo are just among the many that competed and won several awards from the past festival seasons.
As an extension of their successful online film festival this year, you can now watch Cinemalaya 2020 films such as Tokwifi (Best Film), Quing Salam Ning Aldo (Audience Choice Award), Pabasa Kan Pasyon (Best Screenplay), Ang Pagpapakalma sa Unos (Special Jury Prize), and Living Things (Best Direction) via the Festival Pass of iWantTFC. More than 80 short films, full-length films, and documentaries are also available for online streaming. This aims to reach a wider audience at the safety of their own homes.
Online subscribers may purchase a Festival Pass for only P149 for Philippines residence and USD 2.99 for those outside the Philippines.
